Using a CAF
Conditions for using the Training Cheque
The CAF must be sent to PROPER Languages before the start of the language course.
Once it has been registered by PROPER Languages, it can no longer be cancelled or put on hold.
The learner in receipt of a CAF undertakes to complete at least the 40 hours of language training required by the Département de l’instruction publique, de la formation et de la jeunesse (DIP).
The training hours must be completed in one go, without any breaks. It is not possible to interrupt the courses and resume it at a later date. If the 40 hours are completed before the end of a term, the learner undertakes to cover the cost of the remaining sessions until the end of the term, out of respect for the other learners.
Learners who opt for a CAF of CHF 750 undertake to register for a recognised official exam (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL) at the end of their course, at their own expense. If the learner is not planning to take an exam, it is recommended that they apply for a CAF of CHF 500.
The cost of 40 hours of language training varies according to the type of course (private, semi-private or group). Contact us for further information.
